Dean Hughes

I’m Dean Hughes – Coaching & Clubs Officer and have had the privilege of working for British Cycling within the East Midlands since 2009.

 

Through my current role I support all things Coaching & Clubs.

From managing the regional Go-Ride Coaches, supporting Talent Development Centres, Go Ride Cluster sessions, managing the Coach Education programme, and the many areas of Club Development – from mentoring/supporting and providing opportunities for Club Coaches through to Club Affiliation and Accreditation.

As with the rest of the team you will generally find me by email or phone, at meetings, Talent Development Centres, Cluster sessions etc Always happy to chat on the phone, especially if it saves an email   - give me a call!

 

A little more about me…

 

I am massively passionate about providing opportunities for young people to develop and learn about themselves through sport.

 

I have been involved in sport & coaching all my life and love the great outdoors and have competed in many events over the years - most distances (Triathlon & Cycling), but my passion is climbing mountains in the Alps (hopefully back there soon) and CaniCross with my snow dog Elvis
