Biography
I got into cycling in my early 40's, originally to do a Lands End To John'O'Groats charity ride.
After that I was hooked and promptly joined my local club, Sleaford Wheelers.
I quickly got involved in the club and county race scene, riding local time trials, and road races.
I rode my 1st Cross race at 63 and my 1st MTXC at 69, so I'm still active but at a more sedate pace these days.
I've held various roles within Sleaford Wheelers: Treasurer, Race Secretary, Chairman and now Club President.
I resigned the club chair to concentrate on setting up and developing the club Go Ride section and am a L2 coach coaching at club level and at Talent Development Coach at Yarborough & Doddington Hall.
I've organised time trials and road races, Lincs League Cyclocross and Go Green Grasstrack races and circuit races as part of the LCRR series.
I joined the board 4 years ago without a specific role but have always been keen to see clubs develop Go Ride and form Club clusters to develop youth cycling.
